Trump Reacts to Pahalgam Terrorist Attack: ‘India-Pakistan Will Figure It Out’

 New Delhi, April 26

In the aftermath of the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, President Donald Trump has reacted by saying, “There has always been tension between India and Pakistan; they’ll figure it out.”

His comments, made during a media interaction, have sparked widespread debate. While some analysts see it as a diplomatic stand, many criticized the indifference toward India’s longstanding struggle against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.

The attack, which tragically claimed the lives of 26 Hindu tourist and injured several others, was yet another grim reminder of the challenges India faces in maintaining peace in the region.

Pakistan-Backed Terrorism Strikes Again

According to Indian security agencies, the terrorist group The Resistance Front (TRF)  believed to be a proxy of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba, based in Pakistan  is suspected to have carried out the brutal attack.

This assault on innocent civilians has drawn strong condemnation from across India, with leaders calling for the international community to take stricter action against nations that harbor and support terrorist networks.

For decades, India has been the victim of cross-border terrorism emanating from Pakistan, and the Pahalgam attack underscores the urgent need for global solidarity against this menace.

India’s Firm and Measured Response

In response to the barbaric attack, the Government of India has taken decisive actions:

  • Suspended dialogue under the Indus Waters Treaty framework.
  • Downgraded diplomatic relations and called for a re-evaluation of future engagements with Pakistan.
  • Launched massive counter-terrorism operations in South Kashmir, focusing on eliminating terror infrastructure.
  • Mobilized global opinion, urging countries to recognize and act against Pakistan’s continued sponsorship of extremist groups.

The Indian leadership emphasized that while India remains committed to peace, it reserves the right to defend its citizens from acts of terror.

Pakistan, meanwhile, denied involvement in the Pahalgam attack, calling India’s allegations “baseless.”

In retaliation to India’s diplomatic measures, Pakistan:

  • Closed its airspace to Indian flights.
  • Suspended trade and visa arrangements.
  • Threatened to revoke the Simla Agreement, a cornerstone of peaceful bilateral relations.

Observers note that Pakistan’s reactions appear more focused on deflecting blame rather than addressing concerns about terror groups operating from its soil.

Global Community Watches Closely

Several countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union, condemned the Pahalgam attack.

Although Trump’s casual remark suggested a hands-off approach, the broader global sentiment seems to acknowledge India’s legitimate concerns regarding terrorism and regional security.

International organizations, including the United Nations, have called for restraint but also emphasized the need to dismantle terror networks that threaten peace.

BJP’s Shift on the Caste Census: A Strategic Move Ahead of 2025 Bihar Elections

The answer lies in seat-sharing math , OBC vote consolidation , and the BJP’s attempt to stay ahead in a caste-conscious electoral climate.  Bihar Elections 2025: The Real Trigger The biggest push for the caste census has come from Bihar , when Chief Minister Nitish Kumar released the results of the 2023 caste survey , revealing that over 63% of the population belongs to OBC and EBC categories . This data has shifted the narrative from symbolic representation to demand-based reservation and political leverage . With the 2025 Bihar elections around the corner, the BJP knows that OBC voters will be key to retainin...
